Start Capacitors | Capacitors - Tibcon Capacitors

I discussed so many times that the capacitor is an electronic device that stores efficient energy. In a single phase bore pump, a start capacitor maximizes the starting torque and brings the motor rotation to high speed until it runs the pump constantly. After that, the start capacitor in the bore drops out and then a run capacitor takes energy efficient running from the pump.

Generally, in the submersible pumps, the capacitor is a dual start capacitor and run capacitor that does both functionalities. At Tibcon, a capacitor used in the bore pump motor is absolutely cylindrical. The start capacitors will not be ruptured or having black marks.

The submersible bore pumps with start boxes are called as “3 wire” motors. Capacitors in the actual pump below ground motor and earth running up to the surface are available. Start capacitor on the bore may be replaced by a licensed skills in working with water bores.

Do you know how to find a bad start capacitor? A faulty capacitor may simply become uneven or swollen in shape. The ends of the capacitors may also become bowed or distended out. Even though it will blow, it to leak out and often make a  smelly mess. You should keep in mind that a blown capacitor will replace with another and test the pump winding by comparing results with manufacturers specifications.
